Whenever I face them, One common question I have to answer to give them an Idea of Job search strategies. The same question comes in a different forms, such as
First, of all job aspirants should collect the information and required documents to apply for the Job. Because the employers/recruiters would like to see these documents at the time of hiring the employee. As these documents are mandatory to produce by the applicant, employers expect them to be ready.
In many cases, recruiters reject the candidates who don’t have them. Some of the important documents which we should keep handy are Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Passport and Bank Details and Address proof for verification. Secondly, The most important thing for a prospective employee is to have an action plan. Aspirants without having a clear idea about the job and industry may face difficulty in the job hunting process. However, job aspirants with a clear understanding of the job such as description, roles, and responsibilities, skills and education required for the job and conditions of the market. Moreover, we need to know the industry-specific requirements and the plan to achieve them immediately.

Prepare a matrix or a table with all the duties listed as rows and Action plan to achieve the skills and knowledge as each column. Thus, this gives you a clear picture of the gap that we can focus on.
Resume acts as a gate pass for all the aspirants, as employers call applicants based on their resume. The resume has to be prepared with care based on expert advice or professional guidance. While preparing the resume, keep the employer’s point of view as your prime view as they don’t have enough time to go through the complete resume.

Keyword(s) referred to as an important job specific word(s) that most of the applicant tracking system looks for in a resume. It is the art of identifying all the keywords related to the job you are applying for and record them. Later, try to add those in the resume into different sections based on its suitability. At the same time, it is also important to prepare on each keyword (What, Why, When, Where and How).
Therefore, it is recommended to read as many job descriptions as possible on various job portals and get all the keywords listed in Excel. For each keyword, try to figure out the relevant knowledge and skills required and then, analyze whether you possess the same or need to learn. Most of the companies have their pattern of recruitment and selection and the interview rounds are based on the job description. But, there are some common rounds which you can prepare yourself, such as Just a Minute round, Self Intro round, Aptitude test, Technical Test, Role plays, Technical Interviews and HR Interview. The number of rounds and type of rounds varies from company to company and job role to job-role. I recommend you to make a systematic plan of learning the common interview rounds. Moreover, there are the most common questions asked in the interview, try preparing the answers. Job referral has become very popular in this competitive environment. Employers prefer the referred candidates with the right skills and knowledge pertaining to the job. Moreover, the referring employee will be rewarded with a bonus for their efforts to find the right employee for the job. Candidates should spread out the message that you are looking for a job, including the type of job and industry.
Most of the employers start with an ice-breaking question – tell me about yourself. I have written an article on what you must include in the answer for your reference. It doesn’t mean we can bombard them with frequent emails or an explanation letter of the problems you are facing right now.
